Week One Progress Report


Oh to the Emm to the Gee homeboy.

I hate a cleanse, but I love it too.  It’s not the crazy Hollywood, juice and tabasco sauce cleanse.

I eat and drink water and avoid sugar and refined flour products.  Plenty of fiber and vegetables and fruits and fish and chicken, even a little pork.

Smaller meals, smaller snacks and tons of discipline are the biggest keys to winning out this thing week to week and beginning to end.

I feel much better today than I was feeling the week before.  I hate even the idea that being sick is much more related to what I eat than any other factor.

But it is…clearly.  I could say that maybe I got over the cold or sinus infection or whatever, but I feel more like clearing out the processed foods gave my body more opportunity to fight off all of it.

Either way, I now feel all the time the I’d feel for a few minutes after eating a candy bar, alert and energetic and happy, without the crash that comes less than an hour after eating it.

Still wouldn’t mind a candy bar…damn.

That’s 20.4 lbs down in a week.  I did a bit of carb loading on Wednesday night before that first weigh in, but still the current number is close to a decade and a half best.

And there are still seven weeks to go, less than 30 pounds to hit my personal goal.  Very exciting results and taken with my general feeling of health its good all around.

Wonder if contest 1 is worried?  I bet i get a box of cookies, candy or cake in the mail soon.

(Don’t tell them I know how to use a freezer) ;)
